About MindCalm
Welcome to the homepage of MindCalm Ltd (previously Jenna L Sellis CBT). I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Therapist working in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy which, like counselling, offers a supportive environment in which to explore and treat mental health difficulties.
CBT is a structured therapy which has a strong evidence base for treating difficulties such as Stress, Anxiety, Depression and Eating Disorders. It is often recommended by GPs due to its strong research backing. Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is another evidence based therapy which is primarily used to work through traumatic incidents, which could lead to Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD).

At MindCalm, I offer face to face therapy which gives strategies for managing and overcoming such difficulties. I provide a confidential and supportive environment in which to explore what may be maintaining the problems in the present and to establish and work towards achieving your goals for recovery. Both EMDR and CBT are structured therapies and aim to help empower individuals to maintain progress independently, following the typically short-term therapy.
I am fully accredited by the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapists (BABCP) and an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner. This means that I have completed recognised training courses and I am required to provide evidence that I am continuing to develop my practice and receive regular supervision.
I am able to offer sessions both remotely (via telephone or video conferencing) or face to face in my Edgbaston office. I offer a free initial consultation over the telephone so if you have any questions about CBT or EMDR and their suitability for your needs, please give me a call and we can arrange this. There is no obligation to book sessions following this consultation.
