Welcome to MindCalm Ltd (previously Jenna L Sellis CBT). I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Therapist working predominantly online.

CBT is a structured therapy which has a strong evidence base for treating difficulties such as Stress, Anxiety, Depression and Eating Disorders. It is often recommended by GPs due to its strong research backing. Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is another evidence based therapy which is primarily used to work through traumatic incidents, which could lead to Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD).

Often when people seek out CBT or EMDR, they describe feeling low, down or depressed in mood, or find that they feel nervous, on edge or worried a lot. This may be in response to very specific situations but can also feel like it comes ‘out of the blue’ or is present much of the time. Clients also may have stopped doing things they usually would do or find they are engaging in unhelpful behaviours.

At MindCalm, I pride myself in developing strong therapeutic relationships and a supportive environment  for clients to explore and understand their difficulties and what might be maintaining them.  Both EMDR and CBT are structured therapies and aim to empower individuals to maintain progress independently following therapy. CBT & EMDR are typically relatively short-term therapies, but I believe it is important for clients to work at their own pace and that therapy is tailored to suit individual needs.

I am fully accredited by the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapists (BABCP) and an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner. This means that I have completed recognised training courses and I am required to provide evidence that I am continuing to develop my practice and receive regular supervision.
